Graphic Design Pricing

My graphic design rates explained.

So you've seen my work and learned a little bit about me and now you're ready to get down to brass tacks. How much will it cost to design X for me, you ask. Since I price by the project, not by the hour, I'll need to know more about your project before I can provide a free quote. There's a quick and easy form on my contact page to get you started.

If you've ever worked with a professional graphic designer before, you'll find my rates to be quite reasonable. Sure, I'm going to cost a little more than your friend's nephew who dabbles in Publisher, but then again, your company's brand is much too important to trust to just anyone. When you understand the value of hiring a talented designer, you'll find my level of creativity and professionalism to be worth every penny.

Some of the factors I consider when quoting on a project include:

  • Your budget.
  • Whether you already have a strong corporate image to work with or are starting from scratch.
  • If stock photos will be needed.
  • Whether you're providing me with the copy (text) or need help in that department.
  • Your deadline.

My general work process is as follows:

  • Once I understand the parameters of your project, I provide a formal proposal. The quote is absolutely free and doesn't obligate you in any way.
  • If you accept the proposal, I ask that you sign it and return it to me with a 50% deposit (major credit cards accepted). For most jobs, the balance is due on delivery of the completed artwork. All invoices are payable upon receipt.
  • Before I start designing, I discuss your project and expectations with you and spend some time reviewing any materials - like a brochure or website - you are already using (if any).
  • I let you know how long I expect the project to take and provide status updates periodically along the way.
  • I develop a design concept and email a PDF to you to review.
  • If you request changes, I make them and provide a new draft for your review. Three rounds of changes (one major design revision and two minor ones) are included in the project cost.
  • When you approve the design, I finalize the file(s) and provide you with the print-ready artwork or can coordinate the printing on your behalf. If you're looking for a printer, the one I use and recommend is Sun Devil Printing.

Now that you understand my pricing practices and work process, I'd love the chance to discuss your current project with you and help you to achieve an outstanding outcome for a price you can afford. Get in touch with me today!
